Tonight’s speech was an absolute stroke of brilliance. Not even commenting on the content - which was earth shattering, as many have discussed here - just the strategery. Team Trump takes a rally in a small town outside of Milwaukee and changes it into a prime-time live TV major policy address. I love Lou Dobbs but he totally missed the genius here. He was grousing about the delay and how terrible it was for Trump. This “delay” ended up being an incredible force-multiplier for Trump as he was able to go from a live audience of 3,500 plus online about 35,000 to a live TV audience of several million! Plus, Trump gets a full hour of prime time Hannity tomorrow and then evening rallies later in the week.
I’m just blown away how Trump’s team did this! And, how much time did they have to put this together??? Less than a day?? Absolutely incredible!! Gonna be hard to find Depends on the shelves of stores in D.C., NY and LA - when they realize the true force of nature they’re up against!!

There was some speculation that his team suggested canceling the appearance, that a rally in the shadow of the unrest would not play well. Speculation continued that Trump saw this as an opportunity to shift from rally presentation to policy presentation.
And yes, the multiplier on timing, but also the multiplier on surprise. The networks did not have time to game a response in advance.
