I love responses like this. Are you a baby boomer? Because if you are, you enjoyed one of the most socialist periods in American history. I bet you visit the doctor five times a week on your medicare. You might want to thank a millennial for paying your social security, medicare, etc.

Would they do it if it weren't required by law? I don't think so.

They deserve pity not praise.

And soon-to-be Medicaid - which just about everyone in a nursing home needs/uses.

That may very well be my young friend, but the fact is that we baby boomers (I am 58 yrs old) NEVER ASKED FOR, nor were we given any choice about, medicare, social security, etc. If we 'enjoyed one of the most socialist periods in American history', as you state, it was AGAINST OUR WILL! And it accounts for the crushing burden of debt that not only my generation, but your generation, and your children's children's generation, will be stuck with. THAT'S what socialism gets you. Oh and by the way, I probably visit the doctor a total of 2-3 times per year.

I’m a “boomer” near the end of that generation, and no, I don’t visit the doctor but perhaps once a year for a checkup.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the “productivity” of the millennials can’t hold a candle to previous generations.

And he/she would have to pay five times a week while also paying the monthly premium.
It was the WWII generation who gave us the SS/ Medicare system. All the boomers did was pay for it all their lives.

I am a baby boomer. I visit the doctor almost never, because I am on some health insurance through my employer, which costs me $603 per month, and then I have a $4,500 deductible before any benefits kick in.

I have worked full time for over 40 years, with my only “draw” on funds having been less than 6 months of state unemployment benefits, for which the employers pay into the benefit pool (not taxpayers).

I don’t think any millennials have paid for anything for me, nor do I expect they ever will. My taxes have paid for the roads they drive on, the schools in which they were educated, and probably many thousands of other benefits enjoyed by millennials.

My son and two stepsons served with the USMC for 5 tours in Iraq. My husband and his father both served in the USMC.

What have you done for us lately?

In my 50’s, still working, did NOT ask for or vote for socialism, we’ll likely lose a % of SS and have to work longer to get it, worked since 14 to get stuff I wanted, paid for my own two year degree, got OJT thereafter and am doing nicely, had a doper millenial wahdontwawannahaftaworklikeyouguys child I had to boot to get their attention.

You millenials have a voice in November, and D or I will NOT be your friend, or help you succeed, of fix our national indebtedness and your coming BIG payments on that. Do you actually know, have you actually studied what’s at stake for you? The historical differences between capitalism and socialism? Between conservative and progressive/liberal? Between truth and propaganda?

Mr. Millennial: Fido969 is talking like a fool. The war is not between boomers and millennials. There’s no war between native born Americans who don’t hate America. You’re right - a revolution is needed. Some of us boomers have had a terrible foreboding for most of our lives (for myself, since at least 1975). Find the few of us (I guess) who are still fighting and not just fat and corrupt and happy. We actually can pass on some good information to you. Thanks!
