UNC, in the Dean Smith days and before the shot clock, would get a 3 or 4 point lead, then put a man in each corner of the half court and pass it around to run out the clock.

In other news, you should Google UNC cheating scandal for some good reading about how The Carolina Way is simply massive academic cheating.

Before the shot clock in basketball, North Carolina would simply pass around the ball to run out the clock, it was referred to as the “Four Corners” because the ball was passed between the four corners of the court.
