Regardless of the polls no one should be fooled into thinking this thing isn’t winnable. Depending on the poll as many as 25% of voters are not committing to any candidate. Clinton by default is the incumbent. Those voters if Trump plays his cards right and he is doing several things to move the numbers in the right direction will largely favor Trump. Also there has not been any debates. Let us not forget that at the end of August Reagan and Carter were essentially tied at 39% each. Reagan didn’t actually lead Carter again till right before the 1980 election which under estimated his support by 4%.

Those trying to suggest this race is over are playing mind games.

At that link you posted, Dukakis was still leading Bush by 7 points in August back in 1988. Bush won by 7.

A 14-point swing from August to November.
