I’m a Yuge Tom Waits fan - especially his 70’s albums.
When I read your post that included the word “disheveled”, I immediately thought of TW, his song “I Can’t Wait To Get Off Work And See My Baby” on his masterpiece album, “Small Change”.
As an aside, the cover of “Small Change” has a young Cassandra Peterson before she became famous as “Elvira - Mistress of the Night”.
He has an amazing voice!
