Swiss train passengers have reported been attacked by a man with 'fire and a knife' sparking fears of new terror attack.
At least seven passengers were left seriously injured by the man who is believed to be 27-years-old.

Swiss police and special forces have sealed off the train and the interior minister is believed to be holding a special meeting on how to deal with incident.

Since it was a Swiss train I would think some of the passengers would have been armed and could have stopped this.

He was a Swiss citizen. It is difficult for a man from elsewhere to become a Swiss citizen, so may not be Muslim. Unless he converted.

I believe that Swiss are pretty restricted on their ability to concealed carry, although it is easier for them to buy and own guns than most of the major European countries.
aren’t the swiss required to carry a weapon to vote? I think they have small swords made for the occasion.

Historically, men have had to prove their voting eligibility by carrying a bayonet or side arm. The idea presumably being that if you carry a weapon in public, you are obviously a rational human-being who ought to have their opinion taken seriously.
