If they don’t take cash, they can’t be robbed.
No, but that just means you rob them electronically: hack their accounts and drain them.
And given my experience with network incident response and forensics, the good ones go through multiple proxies in multiple countries. . . leaving a trail untraceable by all but the most massive efforts. .
Yes, they can. And for a lot more than just the cash on hand. Same applies to thier customers.
That’s not the point. People are pushed into certain directions and behaviors by those who should not have the ability to do so. If I was told at the cashiers that I had to use a card, I would leave ALL my “purchases” on the counter and take my business elsewhere. A few more customers like me and things would change. Don’t forget that the merchant has to pay a percentage on “card” purchases. A lot of merchants won’t accept American Express because their percentage is so high.
Gimme a credit card anytime. I need use cash if I can help it. I pay it off every month so no charges and the company does a nice little tax write up at the end of the year. I love cc’s.
If they don’t take cash, they aren’t getting anything from me.
By the way, just because they do not accept cash doesn’t mean that a doped-up druggie won’t still try to rob them at gun point!
