Of course they were carved because of the influence of Christianity. Ethiopia was one of the first countries to embrace Christianity. Prior to that they were a mix of pagan and, oddly enough, a form of Judaism. You might remember "Operation Moses" during the 1980. If not, look it up. Fastening story.

However part of the reason they embraced Christianity so readily was that they were already civilized.

Look up Axum.

And as to the " literature was mostly translated" when it came to the Bible that was so. But they also produced a great deal of original work. And they had developed their own written language prior to that point.

They were one of the great nations/empires of the time. Sadly, as did the Persians they met up with the Mohammedans and a great deal was destroyed by the savages as they fought for their lives.

Unlike the Persians they did not succumb and Ethiopia remains majority Christian to this day.

Botswana.

Chile.

Howard Zinn also looked impressive on paper. Didn't mean he knew what he was talking about.

Incorrect but I admit they are not the ones you hear about.

OK how about pointing out a few cities, counties or States, in the US?

A thread based on this article was pulled earlier because it included the name of someone popular on Stormfront.

So who pulled it?
I found the article elsewhere; It was thought provoking and useful. As stated above, written by an articulate Black.

It's a shame to think that all it takes to kill a useful thread is tying it a neonazi site. And a gullible, easily swayed admin...

I suspect that differential would pale in comparison to the cultural and environmental factors that are currently driving things for the most part.

In Minnesota Transracial Adoption Study (referred to in my post #41) you had black kids brought up from infancy in white households, in white neighborhoods, white culture -- and it made little difference as far as grown-up IQ and GPA were concerned.

I’ll try to answer:

Parameters: - No large-scale conflict, internal or external, in the last 15 years; a growing economy; stable and fair elections; no mass population loss from emigration; per capita income over $10,000; low levels of corruption.

Successful black nations:
(Outside of Africa)

Bermuda
Bahamas

If trends in crime and economy continue for another 10 years or so, Jamaica could join it’s fellow tourist islands as a successful black nation.

(Africa)
Botswana
Gabon

Several other nations are poised to be added to this small group, like Angola and Namibia.

Successful South American nations:

Uruguay
Argentina
Chile

If Brazil would rid itself of a culture of corruption and Venezuela could get back to democracy, they could be added to the success list.

American Blacks are 80-85. Sub-Saharan Blacks are 70.

Apples and oranges
If you can't see the obvious explanation for that contradiction, you are in denial.

I was able to have input at a different site when this thread was pulled earlier, and I will repeat just one of two thoughts here.

It has been demonstrated ad nauseam that closed societies tend to degenerate biologically. Even Caucasians.
The most dynamic and inventive societies are genetically heterogeneous. Why must we accept that African tribal societies (closed, by definition) are immune to that biological discovery?

(I was called a racist and neo-nazi enabler for pointing that out (in between a whole lot of cursing).)

I hope Free Republic represents a more informed and rational population.

I will leave it at that.

I never said anything about any explanation, let alone whether I could see it or not.

Since I never said anything about any explanation, how can you tell I am “in denial” about it?

All I did was report a number.

That's a lot of words, but no assessment of any kind.

Do you consider Botswana to be a first world nation?
If not, what would you infer is the period necessary for it to approach first-world status? Five generations? Ten? A hundred?

Keep in mind that all existing First-World countries achieved that status with no voluntary outside "AID."

To be far, the boundaries of many African nations were drawn by the colonial powers with little regard for friction between tribes, etc.

And it is self evident that boundaries did not previously exist, and those chaotic conditions allowed the stronger to victimize the weaker, up to and including becoming slave traders.

The friction between tribes was totally within their control. If it was a paradise in the making before colonization, why didn't it resume after the colonial powers left?

Actually there were, but long ago before the coming of the Portuguese in 1460 and the introduction of firearms.

Actually there were what?

Document what I think you are attempting to say.
I do not want to go the uninformed route and put words in your mouth.

Speaking of Steve Deace.

He used to talk ALL the time against two things:

1) Being a “slappy.” Thinking that MY candidate is the messiah, is the ONLY possible savior of the country, etc.

2) Butthurt.

Since Cruz lost, and Trump won, Deace has been raging—and I mean RAGING—on the air about how the American people have rejected CHRIST because they rejected Cruz. They had a chance to turn America into a golden, shining, glistening Christian City on a Hill, and they chose a lying, womanizing vulgarian, instead!!! Who doesn’t believe in Jesus Christ!!!

In the total of ten minutes of Deace that I have heard in the last seven months, I have heard him repeat outright lies about Trump (Ted’s lies) every time I tuned in—about five times. Donald loves Obamacare. Donald wants single-payer. Donald repudiated his list of judges. Trump University was a giant scam.

What is wrong with Deace? Has he always REALLY been like this? Does he have a corrupt financial relationship with Cruz?

Wow! Wotta list! Of 54 African nations you ‘found’ one; a 50 year old nation which is three quarters desert, land locked and ravaged by chronic drought. Hm........
As for SA, its 1 out of 13 and Chile’s success is questionable at best; given it’s chronic political instability.

The Malinese empire and the following Songhai empire would beg to differ.

I fail to see those on the list of "First world" nations...

You can't argue in two opposing directions...

A competent independent and thriving culture exists, advanced Europeans arrive, destroy it and then leave... or are forced to leave, and all signs of self-sufficiency vanish.

And A primitive hand to mouth culture exists, Europeans arrive, introduce modernity to the culture, are then asked to leave or are forced to leave, and things degenerate into the original primitiveness.

Both are blamed on the Europeans.

If you want to know the real problem, btw, it’s all there in an accurate, but very non-PC book called “The Bell Curve”.

Shame on you! You seem unaware that the basic thesis of the book is ignored, but the IQ segments are blown out of proportion.

That book finds that economic status and family stability are the controlling factors. Which is universally ignored by the race baiters and their enablers.
