Perfect time to dust off the Ayn Rand quote from Atlas Shrugged.

"There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power government has is the power to crack down on criminals.
When there aren't enough criminals, one makes them.
One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws."

>Lets just name it for what it is...armed robbery.

You must have hit POST before completing the sentence: ...under Color of Law.

Course, one needs ‘standing’ to use T18S242...unless you’re on the Left.

>Very Orwellian.

Yep. As is the usage of ‘kingpin’ when, I’d bet, that tally breaks down to multitudes of ~$10K amounts vs. $M+ (aka NON-’kingpins’)

Let alone the lack of prosecution statistics, or how well the border was\is secured to stem the flow to begin (*BWAhaha*. Sorry, couldn’t contain myself on that last part).

I had forgotten about that quote. It’ s dead-on correct, and it’s dead-on what we are living now.

Imagine Washington DC with no water, no food and no electricity.

Just think of it for a few minutes.

It is better to die in the Warsaw Ghetto than to buy a few wretched months at Auschwitz.

And take a few Nazis with you in the process.

..........good observation but “what’s the alternative”???

............if your advocating loss of the 2nd Ammendment and complete capitulation to Federal Bureaucracy and government confiscation of everything like Venezuela has done, all in the name of a paycheck or keeping a military base, I don’t think many Freepers or Americans or Texans at large agree with that alternative view................

I think millions of Texans and Americans around the country subscribe to that old Nathan Hale alledged saying “give me liberty or give me death”..............and take your base and your paycheck and your “strings attached return of our tax money”..............I’ll do sumpthin else, thank you very much.

I’ve learned that many “patriots” are profiteers first. They talk a lot, but $$$ is their focus.

The day of reckoning will be interesting when it arrives. I know of a few people that we can not count on.

..........your point has an exclamation point. It’s called the Revolutionary War.

More Americans by far were killed fighting other Americans (Tories vs Patriots) than were killed fighting the British!

Hmmm...that translates today to liberals vs. conservatives, when the latter has the tactics and weaponry. Talk about a mismatch.

your batting a thousand today!

I left a thousand rounds of .223 in my storage unit in Alaska.

Will have to remedy that sooner than going back to Alaska next summer.

A few years ago I was on a jury that heard a case involving a guy who had 400 rounds of ammo in his house. When we started deliberating everybody said that’s a LOT of ammo - - this was in California.

Oh, bull, I said. I have three times that amount within arms reach of my nightstand, several times more in my closet. Even more in my gun safe. You don’t see me gunning down people, do you?

Hell, I even knew more about this stuff than the DA’s ‘experts.’ What a joke that was.
