If you folks seriously think he meant, literally, that Obama founded ISIS and was not speaking sarcastically - well, you’re right up there with our humorless press.
I think he paved the way for ISIS, no doubt about that. Call him the founder...? I have no problem with that. The man is a coward. If we were attacked today he’d do nothing.

Obama and Clinton deliberately created the conditions through the Administration’s policies that allowed ISIS to form out of a local Al Qaeda franchise, and take over almost all of Iraq outside of Baghdad, and become a major power in the Syrian civil war.
Sarcasm is not in play here, as there is no sarcastic point to be made.
He is blunting the criticism, while making everyone come to grips with the truth.
He wins the argument either way. And the point sticks.
