Revolt TV interviewed former U.S. Attorney, former Massachusetts governor and current Libertarian vice presidential candidate William Weld. Chief Political Correspondent Amrit Singh asked Weld about his views on guns. Specifically, whether or not people on the governments secret, unaccountable Terrorist Watch List should be able to purchase assault rifles. [ ]
The five shot rifle, thats a standard military rifle; the problem is if you attach a clip to it so it can fire more shells and if you remove the pin so that it becomes an automatic weapon, and those are independent criminal offenses. That is when they become, essentially a weapon of mass destruction. The problem with handguns probably is even worse than the problem of the AR15. [ ]As governor of Massachusetts when the gun control laws mentioned were implemented, Mr. Weld should know that MA doesnt ban clips. It bans ammunition magazines commonly called magazines.
Mr. Weld should know that Massachusetts magazine capacity law contains no provision regarding a magazines insertion into a rifle. Simple possession is illegal.

Sad thing is many clueless pro gun libertarians swear by those fools Gary and his Obama endorsing VP.
I swear, many libertarians out there are all pot fantasy, just into story telling make believe like islamists or liberals
At one time, the jaw bone of an ass was a weapon of mass destruction. My how times have changed.
Did you misspell “clips”?
All that is needed to own a fully automatic weapon is an FFl.
Oh my God he’s on to us, he knows about the clips and....THE PIN!!!!
Game over now!
He Knows?
HE KNOWS!
DAMN,WE ARE FINNISH !
What do you expect from someone from Massachusetts. He’s probably never even heard of Wyoming.

This is weird. Libertarians are normally rabidly pro second amendment supporters. As a matter of fact, I don’t think I’ve ever met someone who claims to have libertarian leanings that wasn’t even more forceful about it than GOA. Guess it kinda of points up the fact that this ‘libertarian’ campaign is really just a republican sponsored attack on Trump.
“That is not a normal libertarian view on guns. Thats freaking warped.”
Where have you been? The commies took over the Libertarian party back in the 1990s, after Harry Browne gave up and died on us.
What US v. Miller said was that the National Firearms Act of 1934 was not unconstitutional. And instead of “the government”, it said that the executive branch (via the ATF) can ban weapons of certain types, which is actually unconstitutional, since the right to keep and bear arms is granted to the people, not the militia per se (which Richard Henry Lee said is “in fact, the people themselves”); and the decision focused on Congress’ role in “calling forth the militia” in Article 1 Section 8, a power not granted to the executive either way.
>Thats a Libertarian? The usual Libertarian argument is that the individual should be able to match the government in weaponry, an thus argue over whether strategic arms limitation treaties between the US and Russia apply to individual citizens nuclear arsenals or only to the governments. < /slight exaggeration> <
The Libertarian partay needs to do some house cleaning.
The problem is that this idiot and people like him write our laws. My standard question to libs frothing at the mouth over this is what do you think would happen if we placed all automobile legislation, safety standards, etc, in the hands of people who hate cars, know nothing about them, think they know everything about them, and don't want anyone ever to own one? It'd be pretty bad legislation, right?
It isn't what they don't know, it's what they think they know that's wrong.
Liberal-tarians...what will the little globalists say next?
Weld may have had a “Vulcan Mind Meld” but it wasn’t with their head. A lot lower me thinks.
