I was in Milan and Tuscany about 18 months ago... just before migrant crisis hit. There were already marauding bands of street hustlers from Africa who hounded tourists to buy cheap umbrellas, selfie sticks etc. The police would wave them off and five min later they’d reappear. It’s almost as bad as the gypsy children who harangue tourists in Greece. I can’t imagine what it’s like now. I have postponed my trips until it gets colder.
We’re planning on going to The Amalfi Coast next year.
