Stacking the Supreme Court will take some time. Meanwhile, a grassroots resistance movement can grow. Not guys in the woods playing soldier, but a huge consensus about the fundamental right to bear arms that will manifest itself, should the time of confiscation ever arrive, in a simple message to the nation’s law enforcement:
“What you have been ordered to do is illegal. Proceed at your own peril, because we whom it affects will at that point have nothing left to lose.”
Bunch if pop musicians are joining in a “We Are The World” anti-gun concert series across the country. The propaganda push is getting ready to hit high gear.
When Hillary gets her stacked court the 2A is dead. One way or another.
It isn't even necessary to do that. Lower courts can and do flout SCOTUS rulings. They do it on RKBA cases, see how the Presser case was turned upside down to uphold unconstitutional gun restrictions, for decades. SCOTUS didn't do anything about its rhetoric being inverted, because it was satisfied with the outcome.
Lower courts flout Heller and McDonald now. Erroneous lower court decisions stand until reversed. SCOTUS has a long history, half a century, of being hostile to the RKBA, via inaction. And the way Scalia's Heller logic works, if an unconstitutional regulation stands for long enough without being corrected, it becomes long-standing, and therefore constitutional.
The lower courts are infested with liberal judges who are itching to disarm the public. SCOTUS is too, but it's position allows it get the desired outcome by to "playing dumb" (in the "mute" sense).
