Keep in mind, Billy considers himself the "most beloved living president." He's counting on Hillary being (gag) elected, then plans to push her out.

Bill steps in....concocting some story about her being unable to lead and b/c he's so beloved, America should be grateful he is back in the Oval Office.

You know, there is a sort of precedence for your speculation. Edith Wilson acted as president after her husband’s stroke. No one had the nerve to challenge her role as gatekeeper to her husband.
