The areas around Atlanta aren’t really southern anymore. There are a ton of transplanted Yankees inside the 285 perimeter.

There are two Georgias: the Atlanta metro, and the rest of Georgia. If Georgia goes for Hillary, we’re building our own wall along the Chattahoochee.

Some of us are okay. I am a transplanted Yankee, but I admire and respect the southern character and traditions.

The kind of people who come south are NOT the same kind who move to a rural state next door. The folks who invade New Hampshire and Vermont are mostly very different from those who come down south to take a job, or to get away from impending doom. Yes, North Carolina is not what it was in part becasue of the migration, but it wasn't so long ago ('80s) that lefties were lamenting that as northerners went south they became more conservative in their voting. Gerogia doesn't quite fall into that category. The biggest risk for Georgia is Atlanta proper becomes too large. We aren't there yet.

For obvious reasons, Northern Virginia is a special case.
