Trump has also pointed out that the fund raising “internals” shows many voters, small contributors. This isn’t donations from 10,000 big money donors. Trump’s fund raising shows enthusiasm in the voter base. Big money donations are “protect the status quo,” or “buy access.” Not to say that isn’t enthusiastic! But it doesn’t necessarily translate to “more votes than the other guy.”
However, Large chunks of money can also be used to persuade/sway LIV's to get down to the booth and pull the lever, so yes, they can be translated into votes as well.(in addition to buying access and influence should the candidate win)
