A dark horse who appeared out of the Wisconsin woodwork, businessman Paul Nehlen, was reportedly neck-and-neck with House Speaker Paul Ryan (shown) in the primary polls taken in early July. Pundits pooh-poohed those polls as being unreliable, but Ryan has since adjusted his primary campaign strategy to keep the public from asking him “unscripted” questions, queries that Nehlen keeps raising. Ryan doesn’t want to become another Eric Cantor, the former House Majority Leader who lost to a nobody in 2014.
Nehlen suddenly became a national figure and symbol of the country’s populist uprising on Tuesday when Donald Trump turned Ryan’s words into a quasi-endorsement of Nehlen. Back in May, when asked if he was ready to endorse Donald Trump for the presidency, Ryan waffled: “I’m just not ready to do that at this point. I’m not there right now.” Trump trumpeted his response immediately

I tend to distrust polls. Ryan’s congressional district is district 1. What is interesting is the demographics of this poll. 90% live in Milwaukee WI which is district 2 and 10% in Madison WI which is district 4. Can you explain?

Its a phone poll - you explain since you are so certain that Nehlen is Mr. Wonderful and do not live in the district.
Hint: District One is southern Milwaukee County not the city of. I have no idea why they polled in Madison, unless it was to include liberals in the poll.

Ryan isn’t and wasn’t losing this race. If you are from WI you realize that Paul Nehlen is just a terrible, terrible candidate. This is no Dave Brat.
Nehlen’s bio on his website is a big fraud and none of it vetted out. And we generally like our candidates to be Wisconsin locals and most of us aren’t sure Nehlen didn’t move from out of State to run here.
I get that Paul Ryan needed to be primaried but you can’t judge this race because the challenger is so problematic.
What the Tuesday primary will show though is how much hidden Trump voter support there might be that isn’t reflected in the polls.

As I pointed out, Poll demographics say Milwaukee WI and Madison WI. Neither are Ryan’s district. The cities of Milwaukee county in District 1 include the southern cities of Greenfield, Franklin, Greendale. I have lived in all 3 of those cities. I own property in Franklin. I have friends and family throughout SE Wisconsin who tend to lean anybody but RYAN!!
And then you want to be angry and defensive when this skewed poll is pointed out? Don’t be an ass!
If you want to support Ryan - that’s your business. But don’t try to bullshit the rest of us with some bogus poll that was not even conducted in Ryan’s district.

Madison WI and Milwaukee WI are not in Ryan’s district. Come on, that’s not hard to understand. Show me a poll that was done in District 1. Show me a poll of SE Wisconsin. Show me a poll of Ryan’s hometown of Janesville.

How is Nehlen a fraud? He does own the factory? He loves illegal immigration? He loves the TTP?
He has paid no taxes - state or federal; has sold nothing; has only advised friends on ‘business,’ but never charged them - a fraudulent ‘businessman.’
