Twice the range of the 16.....yeahhhh. With half the load, no gun, and no ability to outrun any adversary that meets it. This is a national embarrassment and the worst “fighter” we have ever built.
It certainly is when you consider that it is literally the most expensive weapons system in human history.

The F-35 has a very effective gun. There is a very good reason the gun will not be fully operational for a short while and it's not because the gun does not go bang when you pull the trigger.
The F-35 can also mount an external gun pod and run two guns in low observable mode.
Do you have any actual visibility on the JSF program or do you just like to troll.
A lot of your comments are simply incorrect.
