Simply re-register as an (I).

Wait. Are you suggesting the (R) party is more in-line to the Constitution than the (L) party (I truly detest the ‘conservative’ moniker)??

No. You said that....don't put words in my mouth. Currently in my state, where you must belong to a party to vote in that party's primary leaves me no choice if I want to vote for an electable candidate.

And I would truly love a constitution party that was 100% true to the constitution. The big L libertarians are not that.

can't say I'll be watching any or much of the Olympics this year, but I won't automatically be cheering for the good ol USA....the good ol USA was destroyed in 2008..

I'd love to see Lithuania beat those punks in basketball.

Yet you don’t align with another party and/or work to make it a viable alternative to the two major parties. Why not?

The tea party won two huge mid term elections that changed the potential balance of power. We were sold out by the GOP-E.

If the GOP-E does not recognize the outcome of the 2016 primaries and Trump loses, I will never vote for ANY GOP candidate again at any level. The left will exterminate them in a couple of cycles. Good riddance. Their power base has to be burned to the ground.

The GOP-E needs us for their Seat at the Table. We don't need them for anything at all if we are just going to end up with leftist rule anyway.

Same. In my case, it was made worse that whom I COULD vote for wasn’t even in consideration.

I believe, truly, most would...until the truth and test of personal responsibility and consequences kick ‘em in the teeth.

VOLUNTARY servitude is much easier. Especially when one can use the force of govt to take after others to ‘give back’.

Sorry, but I asked a question based on the original verbiage posted. It had all the markings of ‘battered spouse syndrome’: “I WOULD have left, but they kept promising to protect the homeland and stopping abortion.” [vs. NON-beatings 90+% of the time].

I had hoped you would expound on the follow-up. It’s always interesting to see\hear the thought-process of those whom ‘dabble’ in non-(R) circles.

I read it.

if he believes all that and says and concludes ... “I recently dropped my registration in the Republican Party”, well, it is the corrupt bastards who should be dropping their registrations.

If I lived in NY, I would be in the Conservative Party. I may some day soon change my party registration here in CT so that I can participate in another party.

But I won’t be “dropping my registration” because of the actions of other people.

The author of that letter is somebody named Gayle who lives in Sothern California. If that is in any way significant.

The best security for faithfulness to our nation is to make a politician’s personal interest coincide with his duty.

That’s what the GOPe want. Jeb Bush and Amnesty Ryan thank you. Far better stay in the party and monkey wrench the corportists and their bought and paid for chattering classes.

Well, the way things are in South Dakota, if you register as an independent, you can only vote for Indepenedent or Democrat. So, I'm registered Republican, but when it comes to donations, I donate straight to the candidate and not the GOPe.

“Men ought either to be indulged or utterly destroyed, for if you merely offend them they take vengeance, but if you injure them greatly they are unable to retaliate, so that the injury done to a man ought to be such that vengeance cannot be feared.”

There is a lot of talk today of killing the King, but the King’s Men are more numerous and powerful. Petty tyranny is the leviathan’s power and no quarter can be given to these men who have betrayed the country.

Victory will only come when the castle is pillaged and the fields salted. The Party is dead; leave the syphilitic whore’s body to rot in the public square as a warning to posterity.
