The only saving grace for me is that he read his endorsement flatly, without his usual passion.
So to me it sent the signal that I am doing this because it is necessary, not because I really,really want to do this.
And it removes the old bugaboo about McCain not being a hero.
We have to see how it plays out.
As much as I hated to see him endorse Ryan, I think everyone who knows Trump, knows he doesn’t mean it. That’s the nice thing about it.
Trump want to win war not to bogged down in small battles, he can handle them.
This will make Hillary scared again.
This will keep his distractor off his shoulder.
