Ryan and McCain are not going to return any favors. They will claim Trump’s endorsement, for what that is worth in their respective races. This is a “gift” to them, and Trump knows he won;t et anything directly in return. It’s up to the voters to arrange the players.
Yep. The GOP nom offers his endorsement in WI tonight and the Speaker of the House can’t be bothered to show up. Pretty clear signal there. Ryan is telling Trump he is the junior partner.
JMO, but it seems Trump is shocked at the lack of support from Ryan. I suspect that led to the original non endorsement of Ryan.
He's new to politics, but he learns fast. Nothing shocking at all from these backstabbers. It's all about power, and that ostensibly flows from the voters - or where the voters can be cowed, from the donors.
It takes time to build political power, and Trump is not "there" yet. He's on his way, but he is not there. One thing, for sure, he knows how to play hardball. He'll start to absorb hits, and save revenge for later.
