A little while back, a FReeper posted an article written by a retired British 'Bobby' comparing the British way of policing (un-armed) with the American. Whilst it demonstrated a fair amount of wistful 'the-way-we-were' thinking, it contained a lot of truth. However, this is what our new style 'Bobby' looks like today. And the reason, in a word: Islam.
Note the face masks, which provide little protection from anything; I’ve seen them on “militarized” police in other European countries as well. These cops seem to fear that they’ll be targeted if their identities are known; if that is the case then the Muslims already won...
