Top Republicans and political allies to Donald Trump are planning an "intervention" with the candidate following a disastrous two days and political firestorm encircling the Republican presidential nominee, according to a report Wednesday.
Republican National Committee (RNC) chairman Reince Priebus, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and former Speaker Newt Gingrich are among those looking to talk with the businessman, NBC News reports.
The group hopes to enlist Trump's children, who have proven pivotal in advising the businessman's candidacy, in their effort to get Trump back on track after days of feuding on Trump's part that even his closest political allies like New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie has found inappropriate.
Trump insisted in a tweet early Wednesday that there is "great unity" in his campaign despite reports of internal campaign strife following an onslaught of negative attention.
The real estate tycoon feuded with the parents of a slain American Muslim soldiers killed in Iraq whose father spoke at last week's Democratic convention, then caught flak over his answers in an interview on Russia's moves in Europe.
Trump told The Washington Post on Tuesday he wasn't ready to back Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) in their primary races, despite them endorsing his candidacy, and he also swiped at Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.).
Do you not understand that Trump did not attack Gold Star Families? He questioned the motivation of one Gold Star father who is also a political hack who has at least a three election cycle involvement with Hillary Clinton. Are you similarly outraged at Hillary’s treatment of families of Benghazi heroes?

Nonsense...they're so apoplectic because Trump isn't following their playbook. He's responding to every public attack against them. Past candidates have ignored these constant attacks and then they take root and become truth. Trump isn't letting that happen and it's frustrating them to no end. He was supposed to be kowtowed by a Muslim attacking him in a speech at the DNC and he wasn't.

Trump is playing it exactly right. He's moved on from this FAKE issue with a Glass mouthpiece, Khan. The ALT press, Breibardt, Drudge etc. are filling the internet with exposures of this jack Khan. Personally, I would prefer he hit back harder and really make the MSM liars convulse more which would show him the strongest candidate in history and not prepared to take crap from anyone no matter how much they hide behind a dead son (but that's just me). The trustability of the MSM is at it's lowest in history. People are using the internet for their news. Let the RICO MSM foment in rage until the foam starts running out of their collective media mouths.
I haven't been on FR for two weeks. I haven't also watched much political news on any front. I'm typical of the average american voter. It's summer. People are on vacation and/or working. NObody except die hards are listening to political news right now. These made up attacks against Trump are only appealing to die hard leftists. That's it. He's building support from die hard conservatives because he's not backing down from false attacks like every other republican candidate has done. This is why Trump won the primary and why he will win the general election.

I know. Angels is beyond annoying. Every thread with Trump is a calamity and “he needs to do this or that”. Let Trump be Trump. The entire media, the Democrats and his own party are against him. Never seen anything like this in politics.
