The president cannot just spend money on his own say so. For anyone in the executive branch to spend any government money not appropriated by Congress is a real crime. There is a real law against it.
Obama knows this because he says he is the smartest guy in the room. Therefore he is defying a basic US law and the constitution itself.
Remember last winter Congress approved that weird upside down law that the Iran deal would be deemed approved unless it was rejected by 2/3 of both houses?
Not enough to make it a treaty.
But enough to approve this payment, which was a matter of public record and covered in the media to some extent.
Blame Obama for sure.
But our team ought to be ashamed of itself.
