The real question is not whether the Obama administration engaged in subterfuge in order to conceal the fact that they were paying ransom to hostage takers but whether the Obama administration was using ransom payments in order to conceal a policy of subsidizing the Iranian government?

The Obama administration can create enough cover from the Iranian nuke deal. It isn’t right, but they can pull it off. Especially with a willing mainstream media. The liberal press has much more power than we are willing to realize IMHO.
