Well if East St. Louis is anything like Chicago (and it is), the chief will fire the police officer immediately.
This is Southern Illinois, not East St. Louis. Except for Carbondale, we have more in common with Kentucky than Chicago.
East St. Louis is the west side of Chicago without being able to escape to the Loop or Oak Park. A few years back literally the entire police force was arrested for corruption.
