From same article:

Mr. Khan’s odyssey from lawyer and legal consultant to prime-time D.N.C. speaker began in December, when he got a phone call from a writer for Vocativ, an online publication, who wanted his thoughts on Mr. Trump’s statements about Muslims.

Mr. Khan criticized Mr. Trump’s statements as un-American in an article published by Vocativ. A few weeks later, he got a phone call from a Clinton campaign official, who had seen the article and asked if his comments could be used in a tribute for his son at the convention.

I saw some clip on TV a little while ago about this. CNN or something.

“Mr. Khan criticized Mr. Trump’s statements as un-American in an article published by Vocativ.”

My takeaway on this:

1. They’re saying Muslims are better Americans than other Americans could EVER hope to be.
1a. This Khan guy flashing his pocket Constitution is like BO calling himself a professor of Constitutional law.
2. Clinton as a mother (though she didn’t have any children who died in combat) outranks Trump as a father. How’s that again?
3. The current Dem strategy is to run against Trump as if he’s the incumbent. BO’s eight years disappear in a puff of smoke. The war has suddenly become Trump’s war and part of Trump’s record.

Have I left anything out?
