Breitbart ^ | July 28, 2016 | Dan Riehl

Posted on 07/30/2016 2:50:23 PM PDT by monkapotamus

Senator Ted Cruz has a very bad future ahead of him. Right now, he’s only viewed favorably by twenty-eight percent of his own party, compared to sixty-eight percent of people who view him extremely unfavorably. If you’re going on the stage to speak, you get behind our nominee. You don’t stay in the bunk below. You get up and you fight...

Ted may be brilliant in some ways, but it’s all about Ted...and folks just don’t like that.

And exactly how is “I told you so” going to get him Trump voters.
The answer. It won’t.

Of course it won’t. But Cruz ain’t that swift, and he’s definitely not hip to what is bubbling up out here in the world. He’s an unlikable clod. He makes Benny Hinn look like St. Augustine.

>What a fall from grace. At one time, Cruz was a shining star in the conservative movement. We are hard pressed to find another politician who fell so far so fast. And it was all of his own stubbornness and his delusions of grandeur. Such a shame.

The only people I see talking well about Ted Cruz these days are Democrats.

>The thing I don’t get, what did he THINK was going to happen? He should have just stayed home. There was nothing to gain by doing what he did.

>It just shows he is somewhat delusional to think he was going to get some kind of magical career lift with that performance.

Obama promised him something on that flight they took together.

‘but make no mistake.... the man is brilliant.’

You and I are apparently the only two who still believe this—and I haven’t been a Cruz supporter for over a year.

He would have had the nomination if he had supported the American people and the Constitution with his votes on the TPA,TPP, and the Iran nuclear treaty. I forgot to add the H-1b visas.

Like I said - you can be book brilliant and people dumb as my grandmother used to say.

That fits Cruz.

I was an early Cruz supporter, but he jumped the shark. He turned out to be petty. His future in politics is zero.

Amazing how Gary Hart’s electoral career could be ended by one bimbo photo, yet Bill Clinton managed to brazen it out through so many endless scandals, lawsuits and perjuries, etc. etc. etc. Gary Hart must have looked at that Chutzpah and just shaken his head many times......

When it happened to Clinton, the Republicans started circling like sharks in the water looking for blood. That was their mistake. They should have refrained from saying anything.

Ted Cruz still has a future as a Presidential Spoiler.

Cruz is a paid candidate spoiler for Democrat billionaire donors. Bet he has a fat bank account. Retired for life. Like Paul Ryan’s huge mansion, like a drug lord, there is big money in spoiler politics.

Nah, Ted’s done after this year. He can switch parties but he won’t get traction. Rick Perry is running against him in 2018. Ted and his followers are being used like cheap whores.

I think he thinks Trump will fail, and he’ll say “See, I told you so.”

Or he thinks Trump will win. Then Cruz can lead the “true conservative” opposition to “NY Liberal” President Trump. I don’t doubt Cruz has wet dreams about fundraising off opposing a President Trump agenda. Regardless, by going AWOL in the battle to defeat the Butcher of Benghazi Ted Cruz has proven he is no patriot.

Watching Cruz with his family was sad and enlightening. I have a genuine affection with my children. My friends have a genuine affection with their children. Cruz does not appear to have that. There is something wrong with his family dynamic.

I believe he lived apart from his “wife” for 8 years. Something real odd going on in that family, IMO.

People told us for years what a giant a-hole the guy is. We didn’t believe them because we liked him on issues. Now we know.

Exactly my thought. I can't stand Boehner and McConnell but they did peg Cruz correctly.

I don’t think he has a choice. Most likely the infidelity rumors are true and Heidi has Ted by the you know what. She very likely could be calling many of the shots here.
