PHILADELPHIA Hillary Clintons acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention helped to ease party insiders anxiety after a week in which Donald Trump rode a modest bounce from the GOP convention into a neck-and-neck race with Clinton in the general election.
Thats according to The POLITICO Caucus a panel of activists, strategists and operatives in 11 key battleground states. Three quarters of Democratic insiders said following Clintons speech closing the Democratic convention here Thursday night they are very confident about her chances of defeating Trump in November.
Trump will never again be even in this race, predicted one Iowa Democrat who, like all respondents, completed the survey anonymously. Added a Nevada Democrat: I bet she gets a bump [in the polls].
Hillary hit a home run tonight, added a North Carolina Democrat. It was refreshing to actually hear a candidate discuss what she will actually do as president. The American people heard her load and clear. They will elect her in November.

I was listening to a CSPAN call-in show this morning and a caller said “Disgusting how much time Bill and Hillary spent trying to convince us they love each other.”
Have you seen this Liz - it’s Bernie supporters AT the convention ... They hate Hillary.

I bet she gets a bump [in the polls].
They added “in the polls” so Bernie’s diehards wouldn’t think of the other option.
