It was a four-day expression of contempt for everything America was in order to make the progressive America-that-will-be look otherwise than the cheap cardboard fakery that it really is, populated by shallow, self-absorbed celebrity seekers, crooks, and professional victims. There was no "hope" in this except the hope of the thief that the marks never find out, or if they do it will be too late for them to do anything about it.
I have never seen such a collection outside of the parasite wing of a Level 4 containment facility. Every single speaker bleated a form of "I deserve" or "we deserve, and by God we're going to get it" right up to the star herself, and anyone who questioned it ended up with the lights turned out in their section of the arena. It was a shameless, manipulative, disgraceful sham unworthy of the country but fully worthy of this miserable wretch who has the temerity to demand to plunder it.
