Trump Says He Wanted to 'Hit a Couple of [DNC] Speakers So Hard'

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump said Thursday afternoon he wanted to "hit" some of the Democratic National Convention speakers "so hard" while watching them last night, including a "little guy...so hard his head would spin."

"You know what I wanted to. I wanted to hit a couple of those speakers so hard," Trump said. "I would have hit them. No, no. I was going to hit them, I was all set and then I got a call from a highly respected governor."

Hopefully never. It’s one of the few instant rebuttal weapons Trump has and he puts it to good use.

Not a self-inflicted wound at all. Rush is right on this, and so is Scott Adams. In the old days both parties would allow the other party to have its week in the sun. Well, the Dems mostly ignored that for a couple of decades, in this case HRC going to the NAACP convention last week, and Trump is returning the favor, with interest. The stakes are too high.

Trump is doing two things right: getting the Dems off message, and bringing on board folks who have opted out of the system entirely because of the double-talk and weasel words employed by most candidates. And, as in the primaries, Trumps "mistakes" get the opposition to overpursue, and he's on to the next thing before they are done being embarrassed by the last.

The "kerfuffle" you metion got the Dems to admit that there was something secret in those 30,000 e-mails. That wouldn't have happened with a subpoena, but it happened from a Trump seemingly off-the-cuff remark.

I personally love the fact that Trump is treating this like a ‘let’s take this outside street fight’.

The press and sissy boys are all wetting their panties because they have never had to deal with an in your face bombastic tell it like it is candidate, and it is fascinating and wonderful to watch.

Plus, I think this is all planned strategy by Trump, he is chumming the waters and letting the sharks circle all along just waiting for Hillary to take the bait and strike back. He knows it will only be so long before she becomes unglued at his relentless jabbing and prodding.

Trump will just be looked at as just being Trump, Hillary will come off as completely unhinged when she retaliates.
