My career started about 35 years ago. I’ve been extremely successful in my field, but it hasn’t been easy. Not because I’m not good, but because of preconceived notions.

Why not just come out and say that you believe that you have been discriminated against because you are a woman. No need to disguise it. I gather you feel the same way about women in politics.

No, I don’t like Hillary and if you choose to not understand the sense of pride, then you are DAF. It’s pretty simple. You shouldn’t be upset that one could recognize a historical moment while not supporting the candidate. Open your mind. That you can’t separate thoughts about politics versus the reality of a historical moment is sad.

I find it sad that you can separate Hillary Clinton from "an historical moment." Hillary Clinton has advanced by attaching herself to her husband. It was the reason she got the job in the Rose Law Firm. She became the First Lady and parlayed that into a political career. Bill and the DNC cleared the way for her to get a senate seat from NY, pushing aside Cong. Nina Lowey to get the Dem nomination and sure victory.

Her marriage is a business arrangement. She lacked the character to divorce a husband who was a serial womanizer and sexual predator. She organized thru Betsy Wright to squash bimbo eruptions and destroy the women who were victims of Bill, including one who had been raped. This went on from Arkansas to the WH. Hillary stood by her man because of her ambition and desire for power, She lost the 2008 primary to Obama. The first black President took precedence over the first woman President. Despite Bill Clinton being only the second President ever to be impeached, Hillary moved forward with Obama appointing her SecState without any real foreign policy qualifications or executive experience.

Now Hillary has received the nomination for President, mainly due to her last name. How any woman could derive a sense of pride seeing such a person obtain the nomination for President is beyond me. She is the last person who should represent an historic first for a woman given her personal history. I won't go into her dealings with the Clinton Foundation and how both Clintons have amassed tens of millions of dollars from their "public service." They are grifters who are corrupt and dishonest.

You want me to open my mind? I am trying to figure out how yours works. You can see from this lengthy thread that you are in a very small minority of one. Hillary Clinton has made a mockery of this "historic moment." No one should derive any sense of pride from it, woman or man.
