He invoked Ronald Reagan and said “Trump you’re no Ronald Reagan.” (But Trump never claimed he is Ronald Reagan).
THEN he unbelievably drew a shallow comparison between:
-—Reagan: “Tear down that wall”
-—Trump: “Build the wall.”
The implication was that Trump is a diametric opposite of Reagan. This got a huge round of applause from the room of shallow thinkers and Obama/Clinton Koolaid drinkers.
WHAT A DISHONEST COMPARISON THAT WAS!!! Why? The difference is that the Berlin Wall was meant to keep people from ESCAPING communism. Trump AGREES with Reagan that Germans should have been able to leave Russia if they didn’t like communism.
By contrast, Trump’s wall is meant to keep people from coming INTO our our country illegally — like a normal nation does.
Big difference. The speaker’s comparison was careless at best, dishonest at worst. I suspect the latter...
Many of the Democratic punchlines at the DNC consist of these dishonest nonsequtirs.
