The president plans to campaign aggressively for Mrs. Clinton this fall. Aides have largely cleared his calendar in October, and barring new crises, the White House expects Mr. Obama to be on the campaign trail almost daily leading up to Election Day.
Based on what he has said, Mr. Trump would probably use the power of the Oval Office to quickly overturn Mr. Obama’s immigration actions, try to unravel the Affordable Care Act, order the Environmental Protection Agency to lift regulations on coal plants established under Mr. Obama, reimpose abortion restrictions at home and abroad, shift the focus of American foreign policy, start building a wall along the border with Mexico and bar entry to the United States from countries with a history of terrorism.
Some of Mr. Obama’s closest advisers describe that as their worst nightmare.
“I’m sure he thinks about that first 100 days the way the rest of us do,” Dan Pfeiffer, the president’s former senior adviser, said of Mr. Obama. “You wake up every day, and another thing that you and your team worked so hard to do is undone. That would be more painful than the president or any of us can imagine.”

I’ve never heard of a US president devoting such major concentrated time to campaigning.... and for another candidate!! POTUS is a far more than full-time job (well except for Obozo). This is flagrant misuse of the office and of public resources.

Now, if Hillary were comfortably in the lead would he be doing this? No, they’re in panic mode.
He knows that if Trump wins he will not only dismantle Obozo’s “legacy” programs like the highly unpopular “Obamacare”, he will also have his AG and FBI look into the corruption of the Obozo administration including the IRS persecution of political opponents. Obozo and members of his administration might end up in prison. Come this October Obozo will be literally campaigning to stay out of jail.
If Trump is still ahead in the polls come late October, expect the dems to literally steal the election.
Ya, I think in the past, whenever he campaigned for someone running for Congress or Senate or state governor, that his candidate ended up losing. So if the track record holds, he may well drag Hillary down to defeat.

Most Presidents have too much work to do to take an entire month off for political dalliance. That 0bama can even consider it is a reflection of how worthless a President he’s actually been.

Don’t bet on it. Not saying the polls aren’t showing those numbers, but don’t bet on them actually representing anything meaningful.
Bill Clinton had a 60% favorability rating in 2000, but everyone knew he was toxic on the campaign trail...
Don’t confuse polling with reality when it comes to what effect the person is going to have on the campaign trail. Obama is lower than Clinton was during the 2000 campaign.
