McAuliffe fuels new distrust of Clinton over her position on trade

PHILADELPHIA — Gov. Terry McAuliffe fueled new distrust of Hillary Clinton among liberal Democrats this week with a declaration that the presidential nominee was likely to reverse her position on the Trans-Pacific Partnership after the election.

The Clinton campaign swiftly rejected the idea that she would waver on TPP and called her longtime friend and chairman of her 2008 campaign “flat wrong.”

But Republican nominee Donald Trump seized the moment, saying that McAuliffe revealed Clinton’s true nature as a free trader — and a flip-flopper whom voters shouldn’t trust.

This wink and nod on TPP will help Cankles get the globalist Republican vote.

“I got one for you... What if Trump had decided to run as a democrat...”

If he had the same positions as now, he would have been laughed out of the party. If he ran on their platform on major issues, he would have probably split the Bernie vote.

Now if he ran 3rd Party with his positions (and with a Jeb/Rubio type as the Republican), he absolutely would have split the Republican vote and probably come in second to Hillary. He actually would have reduced the Republican Party to 3rd Party status - that’s how much the base DESPISES the party leadership.

I disagree with you. Bernie and Hillary would be fighting it out, and Trump cooly in the middle bringing in millions of new voters to the democratic party. He would be harkening to the grand old days. Disenfranchised people like us, who’ve gone with the republicans all of our lives would have crossed over.

Trump is a leader. He leads. In a sense he’s not republican or democrat. He’s conservative, to be sure, but I think the democrats would be loving him if he were one of theirs.

What she can’t do is duck a debate or two with Trump. I am SO looking forward to her being out there where she can’t run or hide, and the press can’t help her.

She's counting on being able to pull a Lazio on Trump. Unfortunately for her, he'll be prepared, and she'll look foolish.

Of course, the press can and will step in to help her.
Remember when moderator Candy Crowley stepped in and helped Obama with an answer? The press are the original den of snakes.
Wasserman Schultz also showed how the press are willing accomplices and mouthpieces for Democrats like the Felon running for office.
