I am confusing nothing. You are trying to cover excessive, unauthorized, unsustainable spending by increasing revenue. The problem is not revenue (or lack thereof), the problem is unconstitutional spending.
Get the spending under control, then come back and talk to me about revenue.
Most rational people can see that spending can decrease and revenue can increase at the same time. At best a combination tariff and income tax reduction would work the best.
I get the impression that a lot of people here around really like the income tax. Weird.
