He stated it perfectly. $10 sounds reasonable, let the states decide. As others note, this takes the issue off the table and does not create an unnecessary distraction and may be inviting to Sanders supporters.

Besides, it is ridiculous to say end the minimum wage. That will never happen and is political suicide to suggest. Trump and I hope all of us want him to win the election. Minimum wage is here to stay and is going to go up. Trump gave a reasonable answer. Would some NeverTrumpers prefer Clinton imposing it from the federal level say with a $15 minimum wage?! And, remember clearly, Trump has hired/fired people, he knows what it takes to make payroll. He's not just playing with other people's money.

Not so long ago my revisions would have been true. Now that people feel the pain of allowing unabated illegal immigration, deporting 11 million people doesn't seem so ridiculous. Perhaps when they feel the pain of a $15 minimum wage, that won't be so ridiculous either.
