It’s very fine like sugar, too.
We camped at a state park at Panama City Beach when I was a kid and it seems the sand was white. But don’t quote me on that. I’ve slept since then. LOL
I lived along the NC coast several years ago and that sand is coarse and brownish. Not nearly as pretty but hey. It was still the beach!
I almost married a girl from Lake Jackson, Texas. Sweetest little girl I ever knew. She took me to the beach in Galveston and I could not believe how bad it was. Brown sand and brown water. I would not even think about going it.
Now South Padre Island is better, but still can’t touch the NW Florida beaches.
Daddy came back from WWII, farmed for two years then went to work at Tyndall. We lived in Panama City for 7 years. When Daddy transferred to Eglin, we moved back to Walton, County. We really liked Panama City but it has changed a lot.
