I know Mr. Trump has the mettle to do exactly that because I helped sharpen him, and now, I fully support him and ask my supporters to do the same. HRC simply can NOT be POTUS.”
He throws something like that onto the end of his speech and he retains his dignity and his support. Instead, he will now drift off like smoke.

Well said. The fact that Cruz was incapable of such a self-evidently positive win-win response, is compelling evidence that he has a severe character defect-- and should in fact be disqualified from public office.
