I still remember how stunned the newsreaders on cable news were, when as the rounds of voting happened, that Chicago was the first city eliminated from consideration.
The land selected to build the proposed Chicago Olympic Village is owned by Valerie Jarrett. There is currently low income (Ghetto) housing on the site..which would have been torn down and the residents displaced, when the land was sold to build the village. That is why she dispatched Rochester to Copenhagen...to secure the votes. Val would have made an absolute fortune.
