The YouGov/CBS News 2016 Battleground Tracker polled likely voters across eleven competitive states before and after the Republican National Convention

Donald Trump has made small gains among undecided voters in eleven competitive states, according to two waves of the YouGov/CBS News 2016 Battleground Tracker, carried out before and after the Republican National Convention.

The Republican nominee’s share of support has risen to 42% in the latest survey, putting him one point ahead of his Democratic challenger Hillary Clinton. Trump’s support is up from 40% in the previous round of interviews while Hillary Clinton’s support held firm at 41%. Gary Johnson’s support is 6%, a one point increase from before, and Jill Stein’s was unchanged at 2%. The share of remaining undecided or third-party voters fell from 11% to 9%.

The study includes likely voters from eleven states: Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin. Voters who participated in the most recent wave were first interviewed July 13-15 and were recontacted July 22-23 at the conclusion of the Republican National Convention.

Overall, thirty-six percent of likely voters in these states report feeling more positively about Donald Trump following the convention, while 32% report feeling more negatively. 22% say their views are unchanged.

Actually I think he will get a bigger bounce during the DNC convention.

Trump won big. But the tactics of Trump and his supporters did not work with those who supported other candidates.

New tactics are needed. The same tactic does not work with everyone.

The article by Wayne Allyn Root is by far the most effective approach I’ve seen to convince those not already on the Trump wagon.

Here in east TN (unrepresentative because we’re Trump here) I have had the great experience of being repeatedly congratulated by complete strangers from all classes for my TRump hat and bumper stickers. I even often frequent a truck stop restaurant where many black people go and have suffered no insults from them or vandalism to my Navigator. So far, things look good.

I don’t wear hats, unless it is in the winter time and I wear my knit Trump hat. But my dad has the Camo Trump hat and he gets compliments all the time here in the People’s Republic of New Jersey.

I see the suburban population energized to vote Trump, while the Urban Ferals will probably just sit this one out. If democrat turnout is low, Trump wins New Jersey

We can over power them if they sit home, and I have a feeling without a black man or a Santa Clause like Bernie on the ticket, I would say they have no reason to show up to vote for a corrupt grandma and her corrupt beta male friend. They got badly burned in Newark with Cory Bookie

Heck the ones that do show might vote Trump because they might be tired of the corruption and their decaying cities.

But who knows.

New Jersey is a silent swing state, Hillary and the Media just don’t want to admit it, yet.
