“Refigeration systems and technologies have saved and preserved the lives of countless millions, and perhaps billions of people”

Great point.

Isn’t it true that the two newest refrigerants (for homes and for cars) don’t have any effect on the ozone layer? So what’s Kerry talking about.

No, it never was true, even for R12.

The watermelon party dreamed up this scam to undermine the AC industry. Dupont didn't quite have the corner of the market on refrigerant, so they joined forces with the moonbats in their lobbying efforts, and got it banned.

Then they came up with a "new refrigerant" (R134) and consequently were now its only producers.

...don't have any effect on the ozone layer?... And speaking about the ozone layer, what ever happened to the acid rain that was falling through the hole in the ozone? Kidding aside, the new R134A refrigerant is effective, but the old, nasty R-12 Freon that we used for decades was quite effective too.

John Kerry has no idea what he’s talking about. But he thinks he has an air of knowledgeable authority. So, he’ll say it anyway, objective reality be damned.
