Many of the guys I was in Coast Guard Aviation with in Miami got out and went to work for Eastern.They scooped them right up. Felt bad for them when the all got canned after EAL went belly up.
One of my SARs was in 72 when the Eastern jet went in out in the glades.If it wasn’t in the soft glades it would have been worse.
