Democratic Rep. Loretta Sanchez, in an interview aired on Univision 19 Friday, injected race in explaining away President Barack Obamas endorsement of U.S. Senate rival Kamala Harris, whose father is Jamaican.
Sanchez was asked why the president had endorsed Harris in the unusual race between two Democrats this year. Speaking in Spanish, she noted that Obama and Harris are longtime friends, then added: She is African American. He is, too.

Sanchez is about as close to a patriotic Democrat as you’re likely to find in California.
Still angry at Sanchez over screwing over Dornan.
Delicious irony here.
“Well, shut my mouth....”
Surprise, Surprise, don’t get your panties in a bunch sweetie, it’s for the good of the Party...
Now they are starting to eat their own...
Cool....’rat fight!
The media can talk all about the civil war in the GOP, but the senate race in California is going to be the flashpoint of an even bigger political civil war between Hispanics and Blacks within the Democratic Party. The party that plays the race card has a big mess on its hands. Hispanics in California are not going to sit by and allow Sanchez to go down to defeat. Get the popcorn out because I think this race will be bitter and nasty, and it will be this contest that will start sowing the seeds of a “race” war in the Democratic Party. What goes around comes around and the Democrats are gonna learn that lesson the hard way.
Ya Think ??? Just look at his cabinet picks....
“Now they are starting to eat their own...”
It was inevitable. When identity politics based on race and ethnicity are what motivates, then it is no surprise that they turn on each other when they can’t attack whitey.
My goodness, Negro Racism in Progressive Socialist Islamville, what is the world coming to?
But diversity...
They never realize that the circle of "ins" is quite small, does not include them, and that they were merely a useful "outie" all along.
Will they kill her for saying this, or just call her names?
Because our new rulers all speak Spanish, of course.
Or Arabic, like Hussein.
Gee that's funny. When I grew up, they were the enemy we had fought for hundreds of years. Now they say they are us, and we must submit to them.
My how times do change.
Loretta is correct. She is the native, the Californian, the one who should represent California. Even though I am an independent, and she is a Democrat, we both were born here and grew up here. And our families are intertwined all over California. I identify with her as we both grew up in Anaheim, I went to Anaheim high and she went to Katella High school, and both our parents worked in local jobs as union workers.
I don’t identify with Kamala Harris at all. She is an elitist, someone from a protected rich background who has never endured the things that Loretta or myself have. So that’s the way I feel about it. Kamal is a Bay area elitist, Loretta is a regular middle class type of person.
Obama is not African American. African Moslem, yes. He’s hidden all his real identity documents including his birth, immigration, social sevurity, selective service, and student records. There is not one original or official proof document of any American citizenship ( and what he’s acknowledged already established he isn’t a natural born citizen eligible for the oval office, anyway).
That is occurring now. Where I live in suburban Chicago, we have an upcoming mayoral election. One of the candidates is Hispanic, another is black. Just about all of my black friends have adamantly told me they do not want "a Mexican mayor". Likewise, many of my Hispanic friends tell me they will not vote for a black.
I thought Harris was part Indian (dot, not feather).
It is also inevitable who two different “minority classifications” are competing for the same position...
Get the popcorn
