Immediately following GOP nominee Donald Trumps electrifying Republican National Convention (RNC) speech, not even CNN could deny that the public was loving it.
In four polls taken immediately after Trumps speech, viewers told CNN what they really thought.
Take a look at a compilation put together by a Twitter user:
For viewers, a whopping 57 percent said they had a very positive reaction to the speech, while only 24 percent said the speech had a negative effect.
Even more incredible for Trump was that 73 percent of viewers said the policies proposed in the speech would move the country in the right direction, with only 24 percent saying otherwise.
The speech left 56 percent of viewers saying they are more likely to vote for Trump.
The polls by CNN garnered quite the reaction on social media. Check it out:

Woulda loved to join the other flys on the wall watching the panic in Crooked Hillary’s war room as they absorbed those poll numbers.
You said my thoughts exactly (congratulations! :o) )
Its Trump’s to lose.
Love it!!!
but McCain has a record 38.9 million in 2008.LOL! Right. McCain's slobbering over Obama drew a record amount < /sarcasm>.
Don't kid yourself, that record belongs to Sarah Palin.
have any cat lovers taught their cat to give a High Five...Or am I wasting my time
oh, I have!
my smartest cat, Cotton, has learned all sorts of tricks. Or rather, she’s trained me to give her treats when she does certain things ;)
I use a clicker, so she knows the exact moment she did the right thing. Plus, take it just one step at a time - click at first when your cat raises her paw. then a little higher, then comes near your hand, etc. they won’t get the whole trick at once.
oh, and before that - click and give a treat so she knows clicking is a good sound. later, you can postpone the treat because she’ll know the click already said she did something good. you can get cheap little clickers for $1 at PETCO or PETsMART.
thanks, I’ll keep working on it,, but she refuses any treats I have tried. Have to get a clicker...
My head spun around and nearly fell off when the results came in. CNN coverage after the speech:
Hispanic chick was screaming, apoplectic, what a white supremacist speech, a slap in the face to all good Hispanic immigrants!!!! I didn’t know what she was even talking about. Trump was all about ALL AMERICANS.
Van Jones was saying it sounded like someone rising to power in Germany in the 1930s. Not sure whom he meant.
And of course all on the panel of like 19 people had received the memo with the Secret Word that pays $20k cash at the end of the night to all talking heads using it: DARK. Yes, I was in heaven hearing Trump speaking to us, saying he would be working for us, saying he will not lie to us. But they on CNN said the speech was dark and negative.
So when their poll results came out, they needed Wolfie to come on first, and to carefully tell us in his most serious scruffy voice, “REMEMBER. We only polled people who ACTUALLY WATCHED THE SPEECH. Thus this will favor the right wing racist radicals. This poll in now way reflects the real American people, who are liberal in nature.” And then showed how most people loved it overwhelmingly, and many improved their opinion of Trump after reading it.
Then they went back to calling him a racist bigot with a dark, dark speech.
I hope you do have him 15 years more. He’s adorable. (Too bad dogs don’t use litter boxes, one benefit of cats, but I love dogs and cats.)
oh, bummer. Cotton’s sister, Cashmere, didn’t like any treats either. I never got her interested in training. Their brother is a pug - he shows up to gobble treats, but cannot learn more than a few basic tricks.
thanks, Yaelle. I love all my furkids too!
Well at least my kitty uses a litter box, I’ll keep trying :o(******) never met a dog that refused any type of treat.
