Ah, but take close heed to the quote below from my local newspaper. Kilgore (Jerry) and George Allen are quoted:
“Kilgore and Allen said this week that Kaine might have an even temperament and a nice-guy image, but he is a skilled and experienced advocate for Democratic causes and that opponents underestimate him at their peril.”
Nobody with a political future like Julian Castro, Cory Booker, or even Pocahontas want to be on a Hillary ticket that will go down in flames. I’m sure they were all asked at some point, well maybe not the White Indian, but Booker and Castro were probably offered the VP slot and turned it down. Kaine was probably the ninth or tenth person Hillary asked. I think internally the Democratic Party knows she’s toast, and are quietly hoping for her defeat to rid themselves of the Clintons forever.
