The enviro-Luddites fondly reminisce about the days when buffalo roamed the plains in endless seas as far as the horizons. Buffalo are ruminant animals, similar in their digestive structure to domestic cattle. And these buffalo were eating grass, which is much harder to digest than grain.
So those buffalo herds must have been outgassing by the long ton for millennia before the white man generously wiped them out and removed their foul carbon footprints from the Plains.
Right?
And of course a warming climate is catastrophic. That’s why the tropics are almost devoid of life. /s
