Why would he need to say that?
Cruz created a major faux pas and essentially insulted Trump when he was being gracious. He’s not going to let Ted get away with it, esp when a overwhelming majority of Republicans are not happy with Cruz’s actions.

Because it is totally dismissive of Ted Cruz. And it is an example of Trump taking the high road.
