Plenty of them do call the police and complain that there is not enough police presence in their neighborhoods.

I had a black friend who lived in an apartment building in a small town. There was a murder in that apartment building. She called the police, not because she was involved in the crime at all, but because she was scared to go home after that incident, and wanted to know if it would be safe. It was a domestic violence incident; she was able to go home safely.

It is only a few “activists” who are more interested in amassing power through fomenting strife that complain about the police.

I’m talking about the no snitchin’ rule, the refusal to cooperate even while demanding protection, the constant surrounding and attacking cops who respond to incidents, the glorification of thugs and the criminal lifestyle....pull your head out of your safe space, read what Colin Flaherty says about it:
