That should say, reporting. In fact, much good journalism sometimes has an element of fiction to it. Hunter S. Thompson’s work is an example. I see so many conservatives indignantly(and mistakenly) railing against agenda journalism and denouncing it as not being journalism — that’s because their vocabulary is inferior; they think journalism only means straight news reporting. In fact there are many types of journalism, and not all are just news reporting. Opinion, film & art reviews, travel writing, documentaries, diaries, cause advocacy, propaganda, etc are all forms of journalism.
